I went to Phoenix, Arizona a couple days ago for a pig show. It was a long drive but luckily my Aunt Nicole came with us and we played our Nintendos the whole time in the car.
My pig didn't feel like eating much after our long journey which made my dad very nervous! My barrow was fifth in class. I also got 5th place in showmanship. I was about to get 1st, 2nd, 3rd, but Nomar ran to the other side of the ring and I got 5th place. The judge made me talk on the microphone and I got very nervous. So nervous that I almost forgot my parents names. I was the youngest competitor in the final round of showmanship and the judge, Gary Childs, said that I have a tremendous future ahead me. He also said he liked my "style" best. When market day came he said I was his favorite showman of the entire event! My best friend and her dad came for market day I was so excited. It was a very fun show I didn't want to leave. After the show we all went out to dinner the Old Spaghetti Factory, my favorite!
Next show, National Western in Denver, Colorado. My dad and I will be driving there, I will be taking Nomar my crossbred barrow and my spot gilt, Mia Hamm.
